Jonathan Kolmetz MBA, MS
Licensed Professional Counselor Associate

Welcome to my counseling space. You are likely here to further your own journey of self-discovery and growth. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, I am here to provide a supportive and understanding environment for individuals, couples, and families. My integrated approach encompasses relationship therapy, financial therapy, and sex therapy while also addressing challenges such as anxiety, depression, and midlife crises.

“It’s a misconception that therapists have everything figured out in their own lives – but that’s what can make us good at our jobs. We are all too familiar with the issues that are going on behind the masks that society encourages you to wear. I struggle in all of those domains just as much as anyone else, but I try to practice what I preach as much as possible.”

Background:

My journey in counseling started with my own experience in therapy, where I found a great deal of comfort and support during challenging times. This transformative experience inspired me to become a therapist, integrating my 20-year career as a financial advisor with mental health expertise. As one of 50 individuals licensed in both finance and mental health in the United States, I bring a unique perspective to my practice.

I specialize in guiding couples and individuals toward positive, enduring change, with a focus on trauma, attachment, sex, and financial issues. Using therapy techniques such as emotion-focused therapy (EFT) and attachment-based therapy, I help clients replace self-defeating patterns with healthy, emotionally attuned responses.
