LCSW Clinical Supervision
Are you stepping into your first clinical role and feeling the gap between what you learned in school and what real practice demands? Do you catch yourself overthinking every intervention, replaying sessions in your head, or wondering when you’ll finally feel like you know what you’re doing?
I’m Cady Parliman, LCSW-S, and I provide hands-on mentorship to LMSWs working toward full licensure. I specialize in supporting supervisees who experience anxiety around competency, imposter syndrome, or pressure to be the “perfect” clinician.
By the end of our work together, the goal is for you to have a clear sense of who you are as a clinician and feel confident in passing the LCSW exam.

My Supervision Philosophy
The supervisory relationship is twofold: a requirement for all entering social workers to ensure the development of responsible and competent clinicians, and a relationship between supervisor and supervisee that is committed, collaborative, and supportive.
My job is to ensure all supervisees feel they have learned how to practice independently, while internalizing social work theory, best practices, skills and competencies.
Supervision is a relationship, and I believe it should be tailored to your individual needs and goals. I value prioritizing supervision that:
- Supports you as you become the clinician you want to be
- Guides you in developing your own style and clinical instincts
- Empowers you with the confidence to make clinical decisions
- Prepares you to practice independently
- Increases your confidence to pass the LCSW exam
- Eases anxiety around imposter syndrome
- Provides collaborative case conceptualization
My Approach
I bring experience across residential, PHP/IOP, and private practice settings. My style is relational and grounded in depth-oriented and trauma-focused approaches. As someone who had a lot of anxiety around supervision myself, I am especially interested in helping those who struggle with fear around competency, imposter syndrome, and being the “perfect” clinician. My approach is grounded in our social work principles – emphasizing cultural competency and inclusivity around all aspects of your identity.
What We Will Cover
Sessions focus on both case conceptualization and guidance around your clinical responsibilities, while emphasizing the importance of learning the clinical process as a whole. This includes diagnosing, ethical decision-making, building the therapeutic alliance and buy-in, and more.
Fees
I offer both individual and group supervision with adjusted rates. Please reach out at cady@oakspllc.com for more information.
